We are sad to announce that on July 29, 2020 we had to say goodbye to Hildegarde Mellish of Chicora, Pennsylvania. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman Smitmans and Anna Smitmans (Boyle); her siblings, Herman, Carl, Hagen, Roland (Rody), Grace Chaffin and Jean Swartzlander; and her sister-in-law Martha Smitmans (Heller).
She is survived by: her husband William John Mellish, Sr.; and her children, Nancy Williams (Philip), Francis Theodore Mellish (Nancy), William-Jack Mellish (Diane) and Roland Mellish (Amy). She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Following Covid-19 guidelines, friends and family will be received on Sunday, August 2, 2020 from 2-4 p. m. at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 2217 Chicora Road, Chicora, PA with private services immediately following.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Chicora, PA or to Lutheran Senior Life VNA Hospice, Butler, PA.
