He was predeceased by: his parents, Lillian Posey and Charles Posey. He is survived by: his wife Barbara; his sister Charlene Griffin; his children, Olaf Elam Jr., Olin Horsey (Dar), Omar Horsey (Rosalyn), Lillian Pauline Elam-Alston (Rufus), Crystal Horsey and Dana Horsey; his stepsons, Noland Wilson and Allen Wilson (Janet); and his close friends, Sam Evans and Billy Howard. He is also survived by 23 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
