She was predeceased by: her parents, Lewis Smith and Mildred Smith; her husband Poppy Hunter; her siblings, Carthel and Lewis; and her aunt Molly.
She is survived by: her former husband Edward Hunter (Poppy); her sons, Edward (Marianne) and Marlin (Eleanor); her grandchildren, Marlin, Markeisha, Arlene and Alani; her sisters, Geraldine Caples, Yvette and Cheryl; her aunt Leona Taylor; her niece Darla; her nephew Gregory; and her close friends, Tina, Greta, Francetta and Doris.
