He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul W. Ward, and Henrietta Bertrand Ward, Sr.; and his siblings, Linda Lounder and Richard Ward. He is survived by: his wife Linda C. Ward of Chambersburg; his children, Paul W. Ward III (Laurie) of Newville and Dawn M. Mentzer (Matthew) of Chambersburg; his grandchildren, Kimberly Ward, Morgan Brindle (Cade) and R. Luke Mentzer; and his siblings, Robert Ward (Paula) of Pittsburgh, Susan Kusic of Pittsburgh, Bonnie Midler (Larry) of Avella and Nancy Shamitko of Washington, PA. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
