He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Rutman and Mildred Rutman (Brown); and his siblings, Ronald Rutman and Sylvia Nicklas. He is survived by: his wife Cathy S. Rutman (Sponsler); his children, John T. Rutman (Alana), Natalie Rutman (Chris Bickert) and Maureen Rutman; and his grandson Spencer Bickert. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to NAMI of the Lehigh Valley at 802 W Broad St, Bethlehem, PA 18018.
