He was predeceased by: his parents, Darwin Muir and Phyllis Edmunds Schoonover; his son-in-law John McNamara; and his brothers, Darwin and Ronald Muir.
He is survived by: his children, Nancy Grant (Peter) of Hampstead, NC, James Muir (Donna) of Milton, DE, Barbara Tolerico (Carl), Deb McNamara, Susan Muir (Donald Hoyle), Mayfield, Bob Muir (Jim Abbott) of Hardon, VA and Kathie Nevins (Mike); his granddaughter Jennifer McDonald (John); his children, Michael Tolerico, Geoff Grant (Ana), Nicole Wall (Bobby), Katie Haas (Jereme), Jesse Muir (Christine), Jamie Shinn (Sean Graham), Beth Austin (Larry), Matthew Nevins, Alex Hoyle and Luke Nevins; and his sisters, Darlene Damiano of New Jersey and Bonnie Milligan of New Jersey. He is also survived by ten great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren.
