It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sylvia E. Curcio of Carbondale, Pennsylvania, born in Forest City, Pennsylvania, who passed away on July 12, 2022, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Zgavec and Rose Stare Zgavec; her son Samuel Curcio Jr.; and her siblings, Edward, Gus, John Zgavec and Rose Pauline.

She is survived by: her nieces, Mary Ellen Ryan and Sheila Kovaleski, MD. She is also survived by other nieces and nephews.
