He was predeceased by: his parents, John Ross and Mildred Hall Ross; his children, James Ross, Jr. and Tricia Ross; and his siblings, John Ross, Robert Ross, Margaret Hootman, Lois Jean King, Pearl Neill and Mildred Cowden.
He is survived by: his children, Ron Ross (Tacy) of Canonsburg and Peggy Slezak (Fred) of New Alexandria; his sister Janet Mozina of Maui, Hawaii; his grandchildren, Jarrod Ross (Elizabeth), Aaron Ross (Elizabeth), Andrew Slezak (Jena), Tyler Slezak (Valerie) and Emma Slezak; his great grandchildren, Olivia, Avery, Veronica, Ryleigh, Keira, Evalynn Ross and Marshall Slezak; and his former wife Patricia Ross. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
