Kaya" Dolores Wiercinski (nee: Evans), 88 years of age, and a resident of Amherst, passed away Sunday, November 18, 2018, at the Cleveland Clinic in Avon. She was born March 14, 1930, in Erie, Pa., where she was raised and lived before moving to Amherst where she had made her home for the last four years. Her primary focus in life was that of a homemaker. Kaya enjoyed cooking and baking for her family. She was an avid Cleveland Indians fan. Her greatest joy was the time she spent socializing with her family and cousins. Survivors include her husband of 70 years Thomas Wiercinski; her son David (Chris) Wiercinski of California and her daughter Elaine Reisdorf (Tyler Lee) of Vermilion; her sister Lukey (Fred) McClimans of Florida, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son Thomas; her parents Sam and Jenny Evans (nee: Lee); her sister Ganya (Fred) Orloff; and her brothers Teddy (Alice) Evans and Rusty Evans. Kaya's family will conclude service with a private burial in Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery, Pa.
