He was predeceased by: his parents, John Thomas and Mildred Rudolph Thomas; and his siblings, Lorraine Powell, Dorothy Thomas and William Thomas.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth Castorena Thomas; his children, Tracey Barkley (Scott) of California, Ninfa Chevalier (Michael) of Paris, France, John Thomas (Karen) of San Diego, James Thomas of Spartansburg and Gabriel Resendez (Jenni) of Orlando; and his siblings, Joyce Kensinger of Corry, Judy Smith of Florida, Donna Brooks (Paul) of Corry, Robert Thomas of Pittsburgh, Larry Thomas (Gay) of Pittsburgh and Michael Thomas (Suzanne) of Myrtle Beach, S. C.. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
