He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert F. Burkett and Marilyn L. "Max" Burkett (Lienhardt); his wife Vicki L. Burkett (Deter); and his brother Daniel Burkett. He is survived by: his children, Matthew Burkett (Ashley) of Buffalo Mills, Brandon Burkett of Cumberland, Michelle Taylor (Ian) of Johnstown, Michael Deter of Frostburg and Elyse LaRue of Johnstown; and his grandchildren, Emmy, Mya, Kylie, Marissa, Trenton, Tristan, Bentley, Victoria, Veronica, Skylar and Jaxon.
