He was predeceased by: his parents, William Atkinson Sr. and Emily Atkinson (Grekalskis); and his brother Bill Atkinson. He is survived by: his wife Barbara L. Atkinson (Evans); his daughters, Shayna Atkinson, Sadie Anderson (Adam) and Desert Atkinson; his granddaughter Eleanor Anderson; and his sisters, Judy O'Donnell (Atkinson) and Donna Atkinson-Osthoff.
