He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerry McClain, Sr. and Florence McClain (Geisleman); and his siblings, Cecil, John, Glen, Richard, Donald, Thomas, Gerry Jr., Lois, Betty and Ruth.
He is survived by: his spouse Vonny McClain (Saylor); his daughters, Sharon Scantling (Harry), Shelva McCallister (Roger) and Sheila Cornelius (Ed); his grandchildren, Shantay Scantling, Maria Negrete, Ty Cornelius, Jr. and Dalton Scantling; and his brother Dale "Jack" McClain.
