Avery of Brogue, Pennsylvania, born in Scranton, Pennsylvania, who passed away on March 4, 2022, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Joseph Avery; her parents, Charles Jakes and Catherine Savage Jakes Chopak; and her brothers, Joseph Jakes Sr. (Marlene Chopak Jakes) and Robert Jakes.
She is survived by: her sister Katherine Smith (late Paul) of Clarks Summit; her nephew Joseph Jakes Jr. of Taylor; and her nieces, Susan Menichiello of Clarks Summit and Roberta Kaszuba (Roy) of Hamilton, NJ. She is also survived by several great nieces and nephews in addition to several great-great nieces and a nephew.
