He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob H. Sr. and Carol E. Hess (Barry). He is survived by: his wife Joan; his children, Timothy A. Hess (Marsha) of Bethlehem, Michael J. Hess (Wendy) of Breinigsville, Jacob J. Hess (Amy) of Catasauqua, Deborah L. Wells (Lenny) of Alburtis, Jennifer A. Doster (Todd) of Macungie and Tracey E. Fotta (Donn) of Macungie; and his siblings, Dennis Hess (Janice) of Emmaus and Joyce Strauch. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
