He was predeceased by: his son Jason Steeves; his father Gerald Richard Steeves; and his sister Robin Steeves Higgins. He is survived by: his mother Lorraine Steeves; his nephew Mikey; his children, James Steeves II (Jennifer) of Dayton and Tessa Diggins (Maurice) of Biddeford; his daughter-in-law Karrie Steeves of Limerick; his siblings, Gerald Steeves (Shirley) of Florida, Donna Blood (Courtney), Barbara Campisano (Campy) of Tennessee, Debbie Stewart (Skip) of Maine, Jean Rowell (Ernie) of Maine and Brenda Madara (Chuck) of Pennsylvania; and his grandchildren, Cailin Steeves, Preston Steeves, Katie Steeves, James Steeves III and Gabrielle Diggins. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.
