He was predeceased by: his parents, John Welkom and Ella Welkom (Dancho); and his sister Rosemarie Newhart. He is survived by: his wife Marlene J. Brassington; his children, Tom Welkom (Patsy), Gary Welkom, Condon, Mont, Melody Welkom, Christopher Welkom (Michelle) and Sherry Welkom (Timothy Young); and his sister Donna Mackiem of Slabtown. He is also survived by five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren.
