He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Horace Higginson and Mabel Higginson (Gee); and his brother Barry Higginson. He is survived by: his daughters, Susan Higginson (Robert Matt) and Helene Bean; his grandchildren, Sarah (Jason Rauenzahn), Priscilla and Aaron Bean; and his great grandchildren, Blair Rauenzahn, Riley Rauenzahn and Quinn Rauenzahn.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Roy's memory to Red Creek Wildlife Center, 300 Moonhill Drive, Schuylkill Haven, PA 17972.
