He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Stalnecker and Kathryn Stalnecker (Faust); his daughter Deborah Bobb; and his siblings, Marie Beidler and Keith Stalnecker.

He is survived by: his wife Martha Stalnecker (Long); his children, Janet Orlando (Ricky), Catherine Hinkle (Michael), Rodney Stalnecker Jr. (Cheryl), Samuel Stalnecker and Thomas Stalnecker Sr. (Rachel Houck); his grandchildren, Heather, Michael, Kyle, Rodney III, Eric, Amanda, Samuel II, Mark and Thomas Jr.; and his great grandchildren, Alissa, Aubri, Samuel III, Desiree and Faith.
