It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gerald R. Kovell of Bethel Park, Pennsylvania, who passed away on February 25, 2025, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, George Kovell and Sunday Kovell; his brother George "Buck" Kovell (Helga); and his brothers-in-law, Walter Velosky, Paul "Hobie" Carroll and Albert "Futta" Gmutza.
He is survived by: his wife Donna Kovell (Carroll); his daughters, Jessica Kovell, Lara Kovell (Stephen Juraschek), Abigail Cheberenchick (Ryan) and Deanna Kovell (Noah Holland); his grandchildren, Sam, Addy, Ellie, Jon Juraschek, Emma and Benny Cheberenchick; his siblings, Robert Kovell (Nancy), Judy Kovell (David Eachus) and David Kovell (Cecilia); his siblings-in-law, Roxanne Gmutza, Dana Velosky and Sandy Carroll; and his close friend Alan McCay.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the John McMillan Presbyterian Church (875 Clifton Rd, Bethel Park, PA 15102).
