He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Michael J Eckhardt, Sr. and Quelle Eckhardt; his wife Candice R Morse Eckhardt of Beaver; his stepsons, Rick McGovern and DJ McGovern (Lisa); his son Jason Eckhardt; his brothers, Andrew Eckhardt (Sandy) and John Peter Eckhardt (Susan); his brothers-in-law, Raymond Morse (Linda) and Ernie Wolfe (Patti); his great-nieces, Jennifer, Jillian and Jodie; and also, Oliver and Oni. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
