She was predeceased by: her parents, James Walter and Bessie Buck Harris; her son Thomas A Murtha; and her former husband John R. Murtha Jr.. She is survived by: her brother Jack; her sister-in-law Sara Harris; her son James A. Sr.; her daughter-in-law Elizabeth Murtha of Forest, VA.; and her daughters, Bette Murtha Newbury of New Wilmington, PA and Barbara A. (David Wax). She is also survived by seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
