She was predeceased by: her parents, Isaac Tyger and Alice Tyger (Bone); her husband Ronald S. Kommer, Sr.; her daughter Stephanie Kommer; and her siblings, Rose, Jane, Lois and Byron "Barney".

She is survived by: her son Ronald S. Kommer, Jr. (Julie); her grandchildren, Scott Kommer (Julie) and Diana Kommer; and her great grandchild Madeleine. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
