He was predeceased by: his father Stanley J. Galant; and his girlfriend Linda Plutko. He is survived by: his mother Susan Galant (Mincin); his son Braden Galant; his granddaughter Oakley Jo Galant; his sister Sandy Trotter; his brother-in-law Stewart Trotter; and his nieces, Olivia and Madison Trotter.

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations be sent to Central Pennsylvania Humane Society, 1837 E. Pleasant Valley Blvd., Altoona, PA 16602.
