He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Schmittle and Zelma Schmittle (Briggs); and his brothers-in-law, Anthony Conte (Joan) and Jim Balestino. He is survived by: his wife Carol A. Conte; and his siblings-in-law, Fran Balestino, Susan Monroe (Jim), John Conte (Mary), Louis Conte, Richard Conte (Sharon) and Bobby Conte (Donna). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins.
