He was predeceased by: his parents, Milton Gibson and Alice Gibson (Rouzer); and his siblings, Clay, Willis, Vernon and Margaret.
He is survived by: his wife Miriam Johnson; his sons, Denton II, Bradley and Douglas; his grandchildren, Brandon, Ryan, Rachel, Amanda, Kara, Adam, Kaitlynne, Kristen and DJ; and his great grandchildren, Hunter, Payton, Noah, Quinn, Ansley, Arianna, Sadie, Owen, Sophie, Maddox, Brooks and Brody.
