He was predeceased by: his parents, John J. Gethen and Gloria Gethen (Peifer); and his son Jack Gethen. He is survived by: his wife Karen Gethen (Reiber) of Hampton Township; his son Marc Gethen (Nikki); his grandchildren, Julia, Maisy and Rex; and his siblings, James Gethen and Joan Goncar.
