Paul J. Locher Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Paul J. Locher of Allentown, Pennsylvania, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 20, 2024. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Paul farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Paul is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Locher and Teresa Locher. He is survived by: his brother John C. Locher (Jeri) of Macungie; his nieces, Vanessa Fry (Bill) of Macungie and Jill Nevenglosky (Pete) of Allentown; his great-nephew Cole Nevenglosky of Allentown; and his cousin Marie Sterlein of Bethlehem.
He received the 1999 Distinguished Research Award from the American and New Jersey Psychological Associations for Outstanding Research in Psychology and the 2003 Gustav Theodor Fechner Award from IAEA for his life-time contribution to the field of empirical aesthetics.
