He was predeceased by: his parents, Bruce Griggs and Georgia Griggs; and his brother James Griggs. He is survived by: his wife Marcia; his children, Travis (Shannon), Rachel, Morgan, Hannah Stuhr and Haylie; his great grandchildren, Brynlee, Trey, Lennox and Chandler; his son Scott (Tae-Ja); his grandsons, Damian and Jacob; and his siblings, Vicki Griggs, Jorjean Henson, Janice Vasquez and Gary Griggs. He is also survived by two sons, seven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
During his six-year battle with Alzheimer's disease, he never lost his sense of humor or his love for music.
