She was predeceased by: her spouse John Newkirk; and also, James Lee and Javier Armstrong. She is survived by: her children, Susan Newkirk, Steven Newkirk, Donna Johannes (Darrel), Mary Newkirk, Paul Newkirk (Lisa) and Aurora Recto. She is also survived by six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
