He was predeceased by: his parents, Delbert Gaines and Dorothy Jean Gaines (Phelps); his son Ronald Gene; his siblings, Danny and Nancy; and his grandson Cody Watson.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Watson of Stanfield; his children, Michelle Gaines Voight of Willamina, Dave Gaines (Scott Gaines), Holli Hill of Pilot Rock and Lee Watson (Christopher Watson) of Stanfield; and his brothers, Phil Gaines of Pendleton and Gerald Gaines of Richland, WA. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
