He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Phay and Gladys Phay; and his brothers, Will and Bob. He is survived by: his former wife Lorelei Conlan; his sons, Ryan Roger (Petra) and Michael Louis (Keri); his wife Gilda; his daughter Kelly Stenmark (Kevin); his grandchildren, Spenser, Giordan, Emma, Caleb, Halle, Maggie and Daisy; and also Juanita.
