It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helen Hisako Miyake Otani (Ontario, Oregon), who passed away on August 14, 2021, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Kenichi Miyake and Suyeno Miyake (Asabe); her husband Ken Otani; her siblings, Robert, Mary and Ishi Miyake; her brother-in-law Yasu Teramura; her nephews, Paul Miyoshi, Mike Teramura, Kenneth Records and Glenn Miyake; and her niece Kathy Berge.

She is survived by: her children, Lori Gebhardt (Lawrence), Sandra Burrows (Brad) and Arny Otani; her sister Midge Teramura; and her sister-in-law Ruth Miyake. She is also survived by her 10 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
