He was predeceased by: his parents, Pansy Mae Salsbury Wood and Horace Wood; his wife Mary Lee Patton; and his siblings, Herb, Robert, Roy and Florence.
He is survived by: his children, Gary Newport (Wendy), Terry of Newport, Carolyn (Dean) of Hillsboro and Karen (Jerry) of Siletz. He is also survived by his eleven grandchildren, twenty one great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
