He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman Johnson and Grace Johnson; his sister Dorothy Kelnhofer; and his niece Susan Johnson. He is survived by: his wife Darlene of Coeur; his children, Randy Johnson of Newport, OR, Sandi (Tom Pointer) of Calgary and Alberta; his grandchildren, Eric Johnson, Paul Johnson, Gary R. Johnson, Rachel Hrk and Jillian Pointer; his great grandchildren, Madison and Katalina; and his sister-in-law Sally Jo Vasicko.
