She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfonse DeRaeve and Maria DeRaeve; her husband Elmer Vincent Bernards; and her brothers, Albert, George, Frederick and Marvin DeRaeve.
She is survived by: her children, Sandy Hyder (Mark), Steve Bernards (Kathy), Janet Kaiser (John), Judy Rutschman (Don) and Jack Bernards (Terri); and her grandchildren, Todd Hyder (Ashley), Troy Hyder (Heidi), Travis Hyder (Kelly), Amy Renalds (Kyle), Ashley Hunt (Shooter), Ross Bernards (Lauren), Ty Hayward (Kari), Heather Branden (Denver), Natalie Wolcott (Jeff), Geoff Kaiser (Allie), Elizabeth Cram (Chris), Drew Rutschman (Jennifer), Aaron Rutschman, Breyer Bernards, Elli Gailey (Gunner) and Branden Bernards. She is also survived by great grandchildren and countless extended family.
In remembrance of Marguerite Bernards life, the family asks that any charitable donations be made to St. James Catholic School.
