He was predeceased by: his parents, Ezra Koch and Hanni Magda Koch (Seltmann). He is survived by: his children, Jacob, Joseph (Alena), Anna (Joel), Sarah and John (Kylie); his wife Joan Koch; and his siblings, Douglas Koch (Maureen), David Koch, Dale Koch and Kathi Costa. He is also survived by nephews and a niece.
He co-founded a nonprofit organization called: City Outreach Ministries, which provides a place for the community to donate goods to low-income families as well as the homeless.
