With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dorothy Angeline Mellenthin of Hood River, Oregon, who passed away on January 22, 2022 at the age of 98. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Ted and Ola Hackett; her sister Virginia Hackett Keller; her former spouse Pat Evans; her husband Walter Mellenthin; her daughters, Judy Gaulke (Mike Gaulke), Kay Mellenthin (Clark Compton) and Jan Mellenthin (Norm Hobson); her granddaughters, Maija Wade (Brian Wade), Laurel Gunderson (Shasta Towler) and Kirstin Gunderson (Jenni Scott); and her great grandchildren, Marshall, Ryker, Jackson and Anessa.
Services are pending at this time and when the pandemic limitations lift and will be held at her church (Riverside Community Church) and her urn will then be placed with her husband, Walter at Idlewilde Mausoleum.
The family suggests memorials to Oregon Public Broadcasting in lieu of flowers.
