He was predeceased by: his mother Katherine Tovey (Morgan); his brother Richard; and his grandparents, Edith, Lester Tovey, Edmond and Catherine Morgan.

He is survived by: his father Terrel Reynolds Tovey; his wife Char; his children, Matt (Amy), Ned (Serena) and Tara Burrell (Davey); and his grandchildren, Katherine, Madelyn, Sophia, Hadlie, Caroline, Isabella and Taliesin. He is also survived by his 9 siblings; and a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
