She was predeceased by: her daughter Carrie Marie; her father John D. Nelson; her brother George Nelson (Susy); her nephew David; and her niece Kate Nelson.

She is survived by: her sons, John, Keith (Jodi) and Doug; her husband Philip Schwarz; her grandchildren, Brody, Emma and Conner Schwarz; her mother Lucille Nelson; and her siblings, Mary Jones (Jerry Jones) and Joe Nelson (Cara Nelson). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
