He was predeceased by: his parents, Arne Hardy and Tina Hardy; his brother Richard; and his daughter Deanna Mae. He is survived by: his wife Jeanine; his children, Lon of Minot, ND, Brenda and Dawn; his son-in-law Jason of Yukon, OK; his grandchildren, Megan (Cody), Brandon (Sierra), Nicholas (Abby), Caleb (Danielle) and Rachel (Kris); and his great grandchildren, Savannah, Eden, Graham, Nathan, Madison and Paisley.

In lieu of flowers the family has suggested donations to the Gideons in his memory.
