He was predeceased by: his parents, James P. Cox, Jr. and Edith Louise Cox. He is survived by: his siblings, Janet L. Cox of Edmond, OK, James P. Cox III (Jennifer Cox) of Tulsa, OK and Larry Cox of Edmond, OK; his nephew Brandt Cox; and his niece Amanda Cox.

The family requests donations be made to the Oklahoma Humane Society Adoption Center located at 7500 N. Western Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73116.
