Douglas Verl Bare Obituary
Douglas Verl Bare was born November 7, 1978, in Weatherford, OK to Verl and Paula (Taylor) Bare. He passed away Thursday, June 8, 2023, in Yukon, OK at the age of 44. He grew up in the Spring Creek area near Gracemont. He graduated from Gracemont High School in 1998. Douglas worked at Walmart for several years and then did odd jobs for people in the area. He loved being outdoors. He loved to fish as a youngster. He spent a lot of time hunting as he got older. He was a member of the Washita Valley Hunting Club. Douglas was a good story teller and could sell nearly anything. It's been said that Douglas could sell a dead horse to a cowboy and convince them they were getting a good deal.
Douglas is survived by his mother, Paula Bare of Binger, OK, 5 children, Michael Bare and wife Joycelyn of Binger, OK, Brandi Arnold and husband Michael of Gracemont, OK, Taylor Bare of OKC, OK, Hunter Bare and Serena of Minco, OK and Preston Bare of Gracemont, 4 grandchildren, Maylee, Savanna, Kayson "Fred," and Amelia, 2 sisters, Sharla Moore and husband Chris of Gracemont, OK and Keri Cox of Anadarko, OK, 2 brothers, Darrell Bare and fiancé Christy of Gracemont, OK, and Brandon Bare and wife Mistie of Anadarko, OK, as well as aunts, cousins and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Verl Bare and his grandparents, Glen and Edna Taylor and Gus and Sadie Bare.
Services: 10AM, Monday, June 12, 2023, Oney Baptist Church, Albert, OK.
