He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Matheson and Lossie Matheson (Williams); his sister Francis Herron; and his wives, Barbara Matheson and Janet Matheson.
He is survived by: his children, Liz Benson (Brad), Leslee Cunningham, Steve Matheson (Maryann) and Mick Matheson; his stepchildren, Ginger Cookson (Paul), Randy Bateman (Marci) and Monte Bateman (Jean); his grandchildren, Blythe and Josh Benson; his stepchildren, Clint Nichols, Lynsay Leatherberry, Matt Matheson, Ryan, Drew, Kaylee Cunningham, Nicole Bateman, John, James Bateman and Helena Cookson; his great grandchildren, Henry and Nora Oberst; and his sister Joanna Alexander Donovan. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Woodward Public Schools Athletic Program with the funeral accepting the contributions.
