He is survived by: his grandsons, Steven Welty (Carly) of Wilmington, NC, Michael Welty (Nicole) of Wilmington, NC and Johnathan Welty (Sabrina) of Wilmington, NC.; his daughter LaDonna Hanley (Stephen) of Seguin, TX; his grandson James Spears of San Antonio, TX; his son Gary Welty of Wilmington, NC.; his grandchildren, Gary Welty Jr., Price of Montana and Cameron Welty of Welch, OK; and the mother of his children Juanita Faye Spencer.
