It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Woodie Brod Sylvester of Weatherford, Oklahoma, born in Chilton, Texas, who passed away on September 11, 2022, at the age of 105, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Woodie Alvin and Ida Marie Sylvester (Brod); his wife Mattie; and his brother Prentice. He is survived by: his granddaughters, Jana and Sue; his children, Sam Sylvester (Gwyn) of Eufaula, Jana Hale (Doug) of Weatherford and Sue Nabors (Tommy) of Weatherford; his grandchildren, Travis Hale (Kim), Heather Hale, Kim Brannon (Daland), Jeff Sylvester (Lisa), Chad Nabors (Julie) and Craig Nabors (Michelle); his great grandchildren, Lauren Koone (Chris), Trevor Crutchfield, Adam Sylvester, Andrew Sylvester, Brian Koone, Austin Hale, Douglas Hale, Grayson Hale, Joseph Messer (Bri), Haley Kardokus (Kolton), Brooke Messer, Taylor Messer, Ashley Nabors, Brandon Nabors, Neely Nabors, Atticus Nabors, Franny Nabors and Cricket Nabors; and his great great grandchild Ricker Sylvester. He is also survived by his family, a host of friends.
