He was predeceased by: his parents, Woodrow Elkins and Madeline Elkins; his son Matthew Elkins; and his parents-in-law, Nicholas Nicholas, Jimmy Burns, Carolyn Elkins and Rusty.
He is survived by: his wife Sherry Kafer Elkins of Waurika; his son Justin Elkins; his grandchildren, Charity, Harper Hinds, Logan and Cadence Elkins; and his siblings, Linda Nicholas, Dutch Elkins, Judy Burns of Waurika and Ricky (Tracy). He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
