He is survived by: his brothers, Jon (Connie Sterling) of Oklahoma City, Dan Sterling of Duncan and Paul (Christi Sterling) of Pilot Point, Texas; his aunt Reba Harding of Pawnee; his nieces and nephews, Richard Sterling, Timmy Sterling, Terry Haley and Michael Cone; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Layne Haley, Jaime Haley, Logan Glenn Haley, Michael "Bumpy" Cone, Landon Kitchen and Adelynd Jane Kenmore.
