He was predeceased by: his parents, William Alexander Smith and Ruth Hazel Mason; his daughter Teresa Hammond; his brothers, James Smith and Larry Smith; and his grandson Jacob Perich.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Smith; his daughter Trudy Smith; his son-in-law Remie Hammond; and his grandchildren, Cory, Kara, Cale, Lindsey, Ann Marie, Daniel and Chloe. He is also survived by 8 great grandchildren; several siblings.
The family has requested donations be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital in Pete's honor.
