She was predeceased by: her parents, Wayne Franklin and Opal Irene Sanders (Jones); her husband C. C. Bates; and her brothers, Don and Dale Sanders.
She is survived by: her former husband Christopher Cornelius "C. C."; her children, Chris Bates (Patti) of Walters, Tim Bates (Donna) and Susie Hughes of Comanche, OK; and her grandchildren, Roger (Angela Bates), Randy Bates of Duncan, OK, Brenda Fontenot of Walters, Daniel (Sophie Cordova) and Michael (Misty Cordova). She is also survived by 18 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great granddaughter.
